The return
Island Lava is back
Island Lava was a brand people in Hawaiʻi loved, and when it left the shelves, it was missed. We wanted to bring it back.
Now Island Lava returns through a hui of three Hawaiʻi organizations: Island Lava, Hawaiian Kine Trading Co. and Hawaiian Council. It’s thin, crunchy cookie brittle, baked, not fried, and handmade in Hawaiʻi, now in a new bag and four island flavors. Longtime fans may know Coconutty by its old name, Coconut Tree.
If you’ve missed it, welcome back. If this is your first bag, welcome to the ʻohana.
The hui

Island Lava
Thin, crunchy cookie brittle, handmade with aloha in Hawaiʻi. Island Lava is back in four island flavors: Brownie Mac, Coconutty, Java Lava and Lilikoʻi Fruit. Every one is baked, not fried, with no high-fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners.

Hawaiian Kine Trading Co.
A Hawaiʻi distribution company that partners with small-batch Hawaiʻi makers, helping local brands develop new products, scale up and get retail-ready. Hawaiian Kine distributes Island Lava, and believes Hawaiʻi snacks should be shared with the world.

Hawaiian Council
A member-based nonprofit with a mission to uplift the lāhui, enhancing the cultural, economic, political and community development of Native Hawaiians. Through programs like the KūHana Business Accelerator and the Mākeke marketplace, Hawaiian Council helps Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs start, grow and reach new customers.

Island Lava returns through a special hui, a collaboration between Island Lava, Hawaiian Kine Trading Co., and Hawaiian Council, united by a shared commitment to Hawaiʻi’s people, culture, and future.
Our mission remains rooted in the islands. We uplift Hawaiʻi-owned food brands, including Native Hawaiian, Hawaiʻi-born, and kamaʻāina founders. By strengthening local manufacturing and investing in Hawaiʻi’s growing food resilience, we support brands that empower communities to build, grow, and thrive.
When you choose Island Lava, you are part of that effort. Every bag helps support local makers, expand island food production, and build a stronger, more resilient Hawaiʻi food system.
Stay rooted in the islands. Stay connected to the hui. And enjoy every bite.
